Worship Ministry
Wow! What exciting things are going on in the East Heights Worship Ministry!
Vision/Mission/Goal/Aim/Target/Purpose – “To provide a motivating atmosphere of worship where God is pleased, believers are inspired, and unbelievers are overwhelmed.”
Worship at East Heights is more than just some ‘singing and preaching’. Our desire is not about performance, although we strive to be the best we can, but about providing an atmosphere of collective, participative worship. It’s about presenting our lives to a HUGE, LOVING GOD as a humbled sacrifice for Him to work in and through to change the world.
Check out some of the ways you can be involved in this process!
10:00a.m. Celebration Service – This service incorporates contemporary music as well as re-worked hymns in a very celebrative, casual atmosphere. You never know what you might get from week to week! Come as you are!
How can I serve here? Be part of a band, vocal praise team, or weekly choir; be a camera operator, work with audio or video, be part of stage crew, or help with special services.
Praise Band Practice – Currently practicing at 9:00 am Sunday morning in the Worship Center.
* Band members should be able to show certain level of proficiency before playing in services. If interested, feel free to come sit in on practices and check it out.
Horn Section – Do you play a wind instrument? We welcome you to join with our horn section in leading worship. Please contact Gary for details on this group.
Choir Practices – Wednesday at 6:00p.m. in the Choir Room – (Open to anyone). The choir helps lead worship weekly as well as performs for special events (Christmas, Easter, etc.) “If you’ve ever thought about joining choir, but never did, now is the time to “did”! Hope to c u there!
