What to Expect
We want to answer some “Common Questions” that are asked.
What do I wear when I come?
Here at East Heights we want you to feel comfortable Worshiping God. So come just as you are.
When do I need to be there?
Our Sunday School starts at 9:00a.m. Our classes range from pre-school to Senior Adults to Young Adults to Singles. Our Services start at 10:00a.m.
How can I get involved?
We have many different ways to get connected. From Sunday School to Prayer Groups to Men’s Ministry and Ladies Events, there’s something for all ages. Check out our Connect and Serve tabs as well as our Prayer Groups in the Members Tab for more information.
Will I be ‘called out’ because I’m a visitor?
No! We want you to feel at home at East Heights. We do encourage you to fill out a guest card and turn it in, but we will not make you the center of attention.
Will I be asked to give money?
Offerings are given as an act of worship for members of East Heights Baptist Church. For new visitors, we want you to be blessed without feeling obligated to give.
What kind of music will I hear?
We sing contemporary style music, but we also sing hymns that are reworked.
What will my children be doing while I am worshiping?
On Sunday mornings, we enjoy having the children in service with us during the music portion of the service. After the music, the kiddos quietly slip out with their leaders and go to the Children’s Building to have a fun time of Bible learning geared just for them.
How long does the worship experience last?
Our worship service typically lasts one hour.
Do you have assistive listening systems available?
Yes, we have the Williams Wave Cast system available in the front foyer. Please feel free to use one of the FM transmitters or t-coil neck loops available or use the Wave Cast app to listen through your smartphone ear buds. Instructions for use are available in the foyer also.
