Worship Ministry

Wow!  What exciting things are going on in the East Heights Worship Ministry!

Vision/Mission/Goal/Aim/Target/Purpose - "To provide a motivating atmosphere of worship where God is pleased, believers are inspired, and unbelievers are overwhelmed."

Worship at East Heights is more than just some 'singing and preaching'.  It's about presenting our lives to a HUGE, LOVING GOD as a humbled sacrifice for Him to work in and through to change the world.

Check out some of the ways you can be involved in this process!

10:00a.m. Celebration Service - This service incorporates contemporary music as well as re-worked hymns in a very celebrative, more casual atmosphere.  You never know what you might get from week to week!  Come as you are!

How can I serve here? Be part of a band, vocal praise team, or weekly choir; be a camera operator, work with audio or video, be part of stage crew, or help with special services.

Praise Band Practice - Wednesday at 7:00p.m. in the Worship Center - (Open to anyone that would like to come sit in and play) Band members should be able to show certain level of proficiency before playing in services.

Choir Practices - Wednesday at 6:00p.m. in the Worship Center - (Open to anyone). The choir helps lead worship weekly as well as performs for special events (Christmas, Easter, etc.)

SONG LYRICS - 04/12/20

Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)

Verse 1
The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon Him

Verse 2
One final breath He gave
As heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

Pre-Chorus
The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His (perfect) (reckless) love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated

Chorus
Now forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
And forever He is risen
He is alive and He is alive
(REPEAT)

Bridge
We sing hallelujah we sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah the Lamb has overcome
(REPEAT)

We sing hallelujah we sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah

Ending
And now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has overcome
He's overcome oh

What A Beautiful Name

Bridge

Death could not hold You
The veil tore before You
You silence the boast of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring
The praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again

Bridge 2
You have no rival
You have no equal
Now and forever God You reign
Yours is the kingdom
Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name above all names

Chorus 3
What a powerful Name it is
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Bridge 2
You have no rival
You have no equal
Now and forever God You reign
Yours is the kingdom
Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name above all names

What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Low In The Grave He Lay (Christ Arose)

Up from the grave He arose
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes

And He lives forever with His saints to reign
He arose He arose
Hallelujah Christ arose

He tore the bars away Jesus my Lord

Glorious Day

Verse 1
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight
It was my tomb 'til I met You

Verse 2
I was breathing but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb 'til I met You

Chorus
('Cause when) You called my name (and)
I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
You called my name (and) I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day

Verse 3
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new Jesus when I met You

Bridge
I needed rescue my sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I'm breathing
I have a future my eyes are open

Chorus
('Cause when) You called my name (and)
I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
You called my name (and) I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
